China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group and Huawei Sign Cooperation Agreement

On December 16, China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei") signed a cooperation agreement on mine digitalization at the Wuhan headquarters. Liang Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group, and Shi Mao, President of Huawei's Steel and Non-ferrous Metals Sector, witnessed the signing ceremony. Chen Guohua, Deputy General Manager of China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group, and Wang Chuang, General Manager of Huawei's Government and Enterprise Sales in Hubei, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties.

Liang Lei extended a warm welcome to Shi Mao and his delegation and provided an overview of China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group's development and recent achievements in mine digitalization. He emphasized that the company is committed to becoming an "industry-leading comprehensive mining service provider," focusing on the full-process requirements of mining production. By integrating the advantages of equipment manufacturing and digital technology, the company aims to create an intelligent full-process solution for the mining industry. Huawei is a global leader in information and communication technology. Building on the solid foundation of prior cooperation, Liang Lei expressed hope that both parties would leverage their respective strengths to collaborate closely in mine digitalization and the application of new technologies, thereby enhancing the industry's digital and intelligent capabilities.

Shi Mao expressed gratitude for the warm reception and trust from China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group and shared insights into Huawei's operations, business layout, and technological innovations in the steel and non-ferrous metals sectors. He highlighted Huawei's commitment to building an ecosystem for the mining industry, focusing on core scenarios such as intelligent mining, safety production, and efficiency improvement, with continuous investment in research and development. The preliminary cooperation between the two parties has yielded significant results. Shi Mao expressed hope that this signing would serve as an opportunity to leverage both parties' platforms and resources, complement each other's strengths, and drive high-quality development in the mining industry through technological empowerment.

This signing marks a further deepening of cooperation based on the solid achievements of previous collaborations. Since June 2025, China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group and Huawei have engaged in a series of cooperative initiatives, including the integration and promotion of mine digital operation platforms, the development and promotion of hardware such as integrated mine network monitoring devices, the integration and promotion of mine real-scene digital twin platforms, mine data governance, AI applications in mining scenarios, and industrial IoT integrated control platforms. In September, at Huawei Connect 2025, China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group, Huawei's Steel and Non-ferrous Metals Sector, YuanTu Workshop, and other partners jointly released the "Lego-style" mine digital operation platform, which was developed and implemented under the leadership of China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group. Building on this foundation, both parties have continued to expand their cooperation, piloting and applying full-set digital solutions for non-ferrous metal mines and digital transformation solutions for existing mining scenarios, demonstrating strong industry adaptability and promotional value.

Relevant department heads and representatives from affiliated units of both parties participated in the event.
